Green Star SA Case Study – GSSA Office Design
The Agrivaal building project is a refurbishment of an old government building (heritage building) located in the Tshwane CBD. It is the first government building to target a Green Star SA Certification.
The building comprises many green building features, some of which are: an HVAC system that has an economic cycle and an ice storage system; a DALI system-a lighting system that controls the lighting of spaces in use; a system that will collect, treat and reuse grey water and 60% of all the reinforcing steel has been specified to have a minimum post-consumer recycled content of 90%
